Mandovi Drydocks was established in 1990 by Mr. Prabhakar N. Sawant and has grown into a trusted shipbuilding and marine engineering company based in Goa, India.
Today, the company is led by the second generation, expanding operations and carrying forward the same vision with enhanced capabilities and scale. Mandovi Drydocks operates two shipyards in Goa, supported by extensive inhouse infrastructure including dry docking facilities, lathe machines, CNC systems, sand blasting, and fabrication capabilities. Most operations are managed in-house, ensuring better quality control and timely execution.
With a new 100-acre shipbuilding and dry-docking facility at Dabol, Maharashtra. Mandovi Drydocks is set for its next phase of growth, catering to clients across India and expanding into the Middle East market, including defence-related projects. The company is also undertaking the construction of India’s first green tug, marking a step towards sustainable marine solutions.
